to say why would not exactly be correct,but its my beleif they appear to be "more cruel" today since its thought that theyve sorta got 'havemore power'... and with the way things are...just fer example intha past, things teens would have gotten away with...doesnt slide today,and most oftha time they find that its unfair...if theyre gonna be branded with a name n' charged,go to prison,etc. they may as well do something which is beleived to be more deserving of what they know is gonna happen. BUT it also is extremely circumstantial... in that each and every 'case' is different. We were just talking bout this at work today g...i believe its cuz parents arent doing there jobs..
When we disbehaved my mama put us in our plays! U know we never used bad language in front of them...even to this day i would never curse in front of my parents...none of us kids do. I do believe its the way my parents raised us...

I think we have to be trained to be kind. I'm thinking about how seagulls will pecked at an injured seagull. It seems to be instinctive to be cruel.
Also, young people don't yet have the ability to have compassion for another. They have to be told that they are hurting someone or making someone feel bad.
