dang another year has cum n gone where does the time go?
alot of ppl r going to celebrate it n party it up, who r u gonna spend near years eve with?

I really don´t know yet Wolf, it might be in a party with friends as usual, IF we all are healthy.
Last year I had the flue and fever that day, not a gooood way to start a new year!

At midnight I'll be out in the front yard, banging two pots over my head as always. Up until then, I'll be firing skyrockets, Roman candles and general pyrotechnic mischief.

I wonder why I don't get invited to New Year Eve parties anymore. :_(

2010...it doesn´t feel long ago we all celebrated year 2000
Gosh how times move fast, and feels faster each year...

where were you guys on that New Years eve, 2000?
I was at a big party, but damn, we had bad weather and fog, but all were out shooting fireworks, all shouting, laughing, hugging and then more party.

Was that 10 yearsago...? hm...

I was on a crowded balcony of a public meeting hall close to the center of Helsinki, watching people going crazy. There was a show of fireworks going on, too.

The digital end of the world did not come but I was nevertheless satisfied of having made a good and thorough backup copy of my data.

Very few people seemed to be interested in the fact that the century would change rather in the beginning of 2001. :-) That New Year I was in Thailand with my family.

My German girlfriend turned ill a few days before and I wound up without a date, staying at home. :-(

Turned out Barbara was sliding into a clinic depression preceeded by a thyroid condition and following month she dumped me with something called a "Dear John" letter. Well, she did refer to me as "Terry" and used e-mail.

Six months of treatment later, she pulled out it and wanted to know if I wanted her back. She had taken my heart and stomped that cold black sucker flat.

By that time Petunia had been shuffled in as her replacement. By 2001 New Year's Eve, I was at Petunia's place ringing in the New Year with a punch line from a Playboy magazine cartoon.

There were fireworks. I shall not give details to protect the guilty involved.

Now everyone involved has moved to different locations with Petunia dragging me along, often on camping trips and sometimes with a bigger truck full of furniture.

I don't like moving furniture. I attract women who do like moving furniture and they want a big, burly guy.

Puti, do you mean the centre where the big white church is in Helsinki?
Every summer I travel to Helsinki, goes in to that church and light candles for my mother and grand mother. That is the most holy place on earth to me. I can sit there for hours, just thinking and feeling closer to lost loved ones.

But by the harbour must have been a wonderful place with fireworks there too?
